BLACK 8 Shake N Break are no. 3 in the Thursday division of the 2023 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League with a total of 57 wins after their victory over Black 8 Saipan Computer Services, 7-6, on Thursday at Black 8 Pool Bar.
Shake N Break's Randy Sablan and John Reyes, and Saipan Computer Services' Rowel "Cobra" Mariano and Daniel Miranda split the opening Singles 8-Ball as well as the Partners 8-Ball matches, 3-3.
After a third split in the second Singles 8-Ball match, Shake N Break finally established control as the teamwork of Reyes and Mei Rengiil, along with Julian Reyes and Sablan, bagged a two-win sweep in the Partners 8-Ball match to give their team a decisive lead, 7-5.
Saipan Computer Services went down fighting as they claimed the third and final Partners 8-Ball match before settling for defeat, 6-7.
Crazy Ballers vs Team Last Shot
Black 8 Crazy Ballers joined the winner's circle by powering past Team Last Shot, 9-4.
The Crazy Ballers established dominance early with Jess Farinas, Victor Formales, and John Roquelara claiming three of the four games of the first Singles 8-Ball match before notching a two-win sweep for a 5-1 lead.
Team Last Shot tried to stay alive by splitting the second Sngles 8-Ball match, but fell to another two-win sweep by the Crazy Ballers, who secured an early win.
Although they could not escape defeat, Team Last Shot bagged the solo win in the third and final Partners 8-Ball match before waving the white flag, 4-9.
